Overview
The Moen Smart Sump Pump Monitor is an intelligent home safety device designed to upgrade an existing standard sump pump system into a connected, smart-monitoring defense against basement flooding. By combining an infrared water-level sensor, a remote leak disc, and smart app integration, it continuously tracks your pump's health and environmental conditions, providing real-time data and alerts so you can catch failures or rising water threats before they result in costly property damage.
Features
-
Smart Water-Level Sensor: Uses infrared technology to constantly track water levels inside the sump basin and detect unusual volume increases, excessive pump cycling, or potential pump failures.
-
Remote Leak Sensing Disc: Comes with an auxiliary disc placed on the floor near the basin or foundation to immediately alert you if it detects surface water, excess humidity, or freezing temperatures.
-
Moen Smart Water App Integration: Centralizes all performance metrics, history charts, gallons pumped, power status, and Wi-Fi connectivity into a single mobile dashboard.
-
Customizable Real-Time Alerts: Notifies you via push notifications, text messages, emails, or phone calls if a malfunction, leak, or high water level is identified.
-
Battery Backup Testing: Runs periodic automated tests if you use a battery backup system alongside your sump pump to verify that it is functional and ready.
-
Power & Wi-Fi Outage Protection: Features a built-in 9V backup battery and an audible siren to ensure you are still locally warned of emergency conditions during power outages or internet disruptions.
-
Smart Home Compatibility: Integrates seamlessly with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for hands-free status updates.
-
Easy DIY Retrofit Installation: Plugs directly into a standard electrical outlet with your sump pump plugging into the monitor, requiring no professional plumbing modifications.
